spiritualinspiration:

But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph…(2 Corinthians 2:14, AMP.)

In life, we all have to deal with the unexpected. Just because we’re believers, just because we’re good people or doing the right thing doesn’t make us exempt from trouble. The scripture says, “The rain falls on the just and the unjust.” When something unexpected happens or you find yourself facing a crisis, don’t automatically go into “panic mode” or just fall apart emotionally. Realize that the crisis is no surprise to God. It may be unexpected to you, but God knows the end from the beginning. He has solutions to problems that you haven’t even had yet. He has equipped you for every battle, and He goes before you to make your crooked places straight!

Today, instead of focusing on your problem, focus on your God. Focus on the fact that He is with you. Remember that He is walking with you, leading and guiding you to a place of peace and victory. No matter what has happened, He will take what the enemy meant for evil and turn it around for your good. He always leads us in victory. So keep moving forward knowing that He has a good plan for you!

spiritualinspiration:

We all go through disappointments, setbacks and things we don’t understand. Maybe you prayed for a loved one, but they didn’t get well. Or, maybe you worked hard for a promotion, but you didn’t get it. You stood in faith for a relationship, but it didn’t work out. Proverbs 20:24 says, “Since the Lord is directing our steps, why do we try to figure out everything that happens along the way?” Instead of trying to find a reason behind everything that happens, one of the best things you can do is release it to God and let it go. God is directing you every step of the way. He has a way of causing all things to work together for your good. Your part is to trust and release.

Cha Sach Koh Kroeung (stir-fried beef with lemongrass paste)

This is one of my favorite Khmer dishes. I actually made this for the first time ever and without a recipe - just taste and go. Making food is all about experimenting! =) AND my mom loved it!

I really love kroeung, which is a blend of herbs like lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, garlic, etc. It really spices up a stir fry! Traditionally, you’d use holy basil but all I had was Thai basil, which works. The chopped peanuts add a sweet note and some crunch. Also, I used a different kind of chili peppers instead of bell peppers/ jalapeno. My mom’s friend plants these peppers that are really crunchy and not spicy at all. I have no idea what they are called! I think they might be Italian sweet peppers. They’re long and kinda sweet.

spiritualinspiration:

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever” (Ephesians 3:20-21, NKJ)

God wants to do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ever ask, think, or imagine. In another place, it says that no person has ever seen, heard, or even imagined the wonderful things that God has in store for those who love the Lord. But notice that it’s according to the power working in us. God’s power works in us by our faith or how we believe. Do you believe today that God wants to work in your life exceedingly abundantly above all you could ask or think? Do you believe He wants to overwhelm you with His goodness and blessing?

The Bible says that if we have faith the size of a tiny mustard seed, we can move mountains. And no matter how much faith we have, faith can grow in us by hearing, studying, and receiving the Word of God.

I encourage you today, make God’s Word a priority. Believe that He will do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think. He is faithful to His Word, and He will be faithful to fulfill every promise He’s made to you!

spiritualinspiration:

Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed (Proverbs 16:3)
In order to fulfill your destiny, you have to make a plan according to God’s purposes and stay focused to fulfill that plan. Wake up each day knowing where you’re headed, which direction you are taking and what you are going to accomplish —- and then stick with it! Don’t allow the distractions and business of life get you off course. Ask yourself, ” Is what I am doing moving me towards my God-given destiny? Is this my purpose in life or am I just wasting time being busy and not really making any progress?” Proverbs 4:25 says, ” Keep your eyes fixed straight ahead. Don’t look to the left and don’t look to the right.” Don’t be distracted and spend your time and energy on things that are not helping you fulfill your destiny.
Remember, God’s plans are blessed, and as you walk in His plan for your life, you will experience His abundance in everything you set your hand to!

spiritualinspiration:

When something is toxic, it’s poisonous; it can destroy you. When we go around dwelling on the wrong thoughts, thinking about what we can’t do or how we’ll never get ahead, those thoughts are toxic thoughts. Toxic thoughts left alone become like toxic waste that sinks into your heart. It will eventually contaminate your whole life. It affects your self-image. It affects your attitude, your level of confidence, and ultimately, your success. That’s why the scripture says to guard your heart because the condition of your heart and mind determine the condition of your whole life.
Make the decision today to detox any negative, self-defeating thoughts by meditating on God’s promises instead. Make the decision to detox bitterness, detox low self-esteem, detox negative words that may have been spoken over you, detox condemnation. Make the decision to dwell on what God says about you. God says, “You are forgiven.” God says, “Your best days are in front of you.” God says, “I’ll restore the years that the enemy has stolen.” As you detox your mind and fill your thoughts with His promises, you’ll see His hand of blessing on your life. You’ll rise up higher, and you’ll live the abundant life He has for you!
